UPDATE OF COMING FESTIVAL(S)
We proudly announce that we are accepted as craft vendor in TEXAS STATE ARTS FESTIVAL (March 3-4,
2007). The show hour is 11 AM to 10 PM on Saturday and 11 AM to 8 PM on Sunday.
Come visit our booth. We have lots of beautiful crafts, with special prices too!
Check on our Special Offer page and you can find coupon that you can use to
purchase handcraft at our booth.
Just to remind you, all the proceeds will go to support our reading class in
Guatemala. So, please be generous and help us help women and girls in
Guatemala.
TEXAS STATE ARTS FESTIVAL Fine Arts, Crafts and
Music A Celebration of Texas Culture
The Texas State Arts Festival is a Celebration of Everything Texan and will
include Fine Arts, Crafts and Music! The Festival will be held in prestigious
downtown Austin, on North Congress Avenue at Martin Luther King Blvd, across
from the Bob Bullock Texas tate History Museum. The address is 1800 Congress
Avenue, Austin, TX 78701. This event will showcase quality arts and crats, 2
stages of live Texas music and entertainement, children's activities, plus a
Gourmet Texas Food Court, and food and beverage concessions. And extensive
advertising campaign, including television, radio and newspaper will supplement
publicity in promoting this event. Estimates of attendance exceed 50,000 for the
weekend. Many civic and non-profit organizations raise money through
participation.
SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: International Blues Legend, ROBERT CRAY, has just
been confirmed to play at the Texas State Arts Festival on Sunday March 4! The
Robert Cray Band will play from 6:30 - 8pm. Robert Cray is currently touring
with Eric Clapton. We are very fortunate that he wants to spend a day off
playing our Arts Festival!

25th Annual Fall Old Pecan Street Festival
Austin will be celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the Old Pecan Stret Fall
Festival (OPSF) this September 30th and Octover 1st. OPSF showcases over 250
juried professional arts and crafts exhibitors, several stages with music and
performing arts (including theater, comedy, dance), over 40 international and
fair typoe food concessions, fashion shows, children carnival, petting zoo, pony
rides, pet adoption services, train and airplane rides, seating areas, and
more. All of this takes place in the world famous Sixth Street and
surrounding streets in downtown Austin.
Somos Iguales, Inc. will be there as a vendor at International Zone
area. Can't wait to see ya'll there!
